Saturday

With exception to holidays and vacations, the only day that I can hit up the beach nowadays is Saturday. So today being Saturday, I hit up the beach. I'm always looking forward to Saturdays, but with these past few weeks being what they were, I was especially looking forward to this Saturday to just unwind.

B.I.B.

I just booked my ticket, and in a couple of weeks I'll be B.I.B. - Big Island Bound.

Here's my daily schedule (with exception of Sunday) for this trip:
- Shortly before the rooster crows until I get hungry: Surf
- After I eat until 4:00 PMish: Chill with my grandpa
- 4:00 PMish until it gets dark: Surf

It probably goes without saying, but I'm pretty stoked. I hope there's some early winter swell action because I've been jonesing for this spot for some time now:



All that said, one of two things is going to happen to my blog during this trip: (1) It will be updated daily or (2) It will be completely neglected. I'm hoping for option 1, but I'm fully expecting option 2... ono grinds + Kanak attack = nothing gets done.

2012 BIA Championships

I checked out the 2012 BIA Championships in Huntington yesterday. I was stoked on the level of DK talent representing yesterday.

Home is Where the Heart Is

Home is where the heart is, but down south is where the waves were. I checked out a couple spots down south this morning. The waves weren't that good, but they were better than the waves around my neck of the woods.

Labor Day 2012

I went to the usual spot today to partake of whatever swell was left. It was a little inconsistent, but there were a few nice sets that came through. The water was warm and the weather was nice. It was a good Labor Day. I hope you all had a good Labor Day, too.

The Entrée

I was hoping for Sizzlers, but I got the 99¢ value menu instead. It wasn't that it wasn't good this morning, it's just that it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I still had fun; I met up with a bunch of SB locals.
