Secret Spot

Went to the "Secret Spot" featured in the classic bodyboarding video BodyBoarding Enough Said yesterday. Judging from the crowd, it's anything but a secret spot now.

Ghostly Fog

I took a cruise down to the beach this morning to see if the expected swell was legit or just hype. Unfortunately, it was more of the latter. Despite the dissappointing surf, the conditions were nice when I first rolled up so I decided to take some pics. But several minutes after that, a rather eerie fog just kind of came out of no where. I got a few pics before the fog made it almost impossible to get any good pics. Here are a couple of them:

Winter Conditions

Conditions were perfect (albeit a little nippy at first) yesterday morning. Sun was out, winds were offshore, and the waves weren't that bad in spite of the 6-point-somthing high tide.

Here are some pictures from yesterday:

Back on Track

After only blogging sporadically for the past several months, it feels good to be blogging regularly again. There really wasn't a lot to blog about in the beginning of this month (or for the past several months, for that matter), but Mother Nature made up for it with a nice swell these past few days.

The swell had dropped significantly this morning. There was still a little something out there, but it wasn't anything compared to what we had for the past two days. Hopefully this is the first of many good swells for this fall and winter.
