When I think of June morning conditions, I think of conditions like that of this morning - cloudy skies, early onshore winds and bad surf. Although, to be totally fair, the surf wasn't too bad for a June day in the SB.
I checked out the Saturday heats of the USBA contest at Huntington Beach. Here are some pictures from the event:

The last time I recall a beer company supporting bodyboarding here in the States was back in the early-90s when Bud Light sponsored the sport. The early-90s was the pinnacle of sponsorship money. Is this a sign of the sport's rebound? I guess only time will tell.
Bodyboarding world: Meet Sammy Morretino
Sammy had a heat in which he threw six hacks... on one wave. Here are five of them:
I don't know what they put in the water on the Garden Isle, but whatever it is, Kaua'i has produced some top-tier DK talent. Here is some of that talent - Dubb, Bud Miyamoto and Sammy Morretino:
Tanner McDaniel and Trevor Kam talking contest strategy.
So what would compel a man to essentially go crazy and consequently mess around by surfing switch-stance and stand-up in the middle of his DK heat? Surfing epic Arica and then having to surf small, mushy Huntington within the span of a week, perhaps? I thought Dubb has trying to eliminate himself from the contest so that he wouldn't have to surf HB yesterday. lol
I ain't gonna lie, I got all giddy when I got a chance to take a pic with one of my childhood bodyboarding idols. Haha
