BIA Tour 2013: Manhattan Beach Pier

Snap and Run

I didn't have a lot of time to hang around at the beach yesterday. I snapped a few pics and bailed within an hour. Surf was small and the lighting conditions were poor, so I wasn't too bummed that I didn't have a lot of time to hang at the beach yesterday.

Sloppy

The usual spot was pretty sloppy this morning so some buddies and I ended up checking out another spot. It was pretty sloppy there too, but the conditions cleaned up just enough to entice a few of my buddies to paddle out.

Three Weeks Too Long

It felt particularly good to hit up the beach today since it had been three weeks since I last hit up the beach. I picked a pretty good day to end my hiatus - the waves and conditions were nice.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2013

With my busy schedule, I've been pretty stoked on how the waves have lined up in my favor since November. Today was no exception. Although not epic, apparently it was the best day of this current swell.

My Turn

About a year ago, a few of my buddies scored some fun-looking shorebreak at this one spot. I've been waiting for my turn ever since. On Saturday, I got my chance.

I surfed for a little bit, but I ultimately ended up trading my board for my GoPro. Yeah, I know, I ought to get my board and fins confiscated for such nonsense. Haha. Here's a short vid from that morning:
