From the Beach and From the Pier

I decided to take some pictures from the beach and from the pier this morning. The lighting wasn't optimal, but I couldn't resist trying out a new lens.

Sneak'n a Peak

If the waves from this afternoon are any indication of what's in store for tomorrow morning, it should be fun, especially if the conditions cooperate.

Two boards featuring then-innovative designs: Morey Mach 20 RS and Morey Mach 10. The Mach 10 featured a winged design. The Mach 20 RS featured retractable skegs (which is what "RS" stands for).

Farting Around

It looked like the anticipated swell peaked yesterday since it actually looked smaller today than it did yesterday. I decided to get my wannabe photog on and mess around with my cam.

I saw many a casual bodyboarder go over the falls this afternoon. This guy was lucky though, and pulled out just in time

On the Rise

I arrived at the beach this morning and the waves were pretty much your run-of-the-mill waves for that particular spot. By the time I left, though, you could definitely tell that the waves were picking-up.

BODYBOARDING Magazine

I was recently able to get my hands on several issues of BODYBOARDING Magazine from the early 90s. As I flipped through the pages of these issues, I could just feel the vibe of 90s bodyboarding. If you experienced bodyboarding in the 90s, you know exactly what I mean by the word "vibe".

In the future, I'll be posting scans from these mags

One Day Too Late

From the looks of it, today wasn't as fun as yesterday, but I still had a fun sesh nonetheless. After all, there aren't a lot of things that beat a mid-week morning sesh with uncrowded glassy waves.
